Galaxies - The best of Arp

M 82 is nr. 337 in the Arp catalogue of Peculiar Galaxies.
The irregularity of this galaxy can already be noted with small instruments and low power, as in this observation. In this case it is the "famous" transverse dark lane in this galaxy that can be glimpsed with averted vision.

The view of M 82 together with the M 81, which is one of the most beautiful spiral-galaxies we can observe, can be rated among the top-10 of best deepsky-view in our sky!
